Something Different - An Abstract

Happy Weekend everyone, I hope all is well.

I've already shared this on Facebook which is so much easier, quicker to post and comment.    Blogging takes so much time, I sometimes think about quitting, but then maybe some of you are not on Facebook.    I apologize if I haven't been around to your blogs but life has been busy.

I'm still enjoying Life book 2017 lessons and recently completed a lesson by Wendy Brightbill on painting abstracts.  The idea was to paint your intention for 2017, but I just was simply 'going with the flow' without direction or any kind of thoughts on a watercolour journal page.   It was similar to working on backgrounds for cards but with more time spent and extra detail.

Thanks for your visit and have a great day,
Shirley

The colours are gorgeous Shirley and very satisfying to just go with the flow. Please don't give up your blog. I think Facebook has its place but a blog is much more personal. I say a blog is like your diary and Facebook is like a quick note. Even if you can't post as often it is always great when you do. x

It is so easy and so sayong nothing like most people do just a "like" on facebook... And I hate all the scrolling to find something back...so I would love it if FB would go! It is to "light" for me. That's why the things I show there are fro, 6 or more months back; I don't have time nor want to go there everyday...
Great that you enjoy the lifebook 2017 and looks like a fun one to make! Hugs, Gerrina

A wonderful piece Shirley and it would male a fabulous card background.
Although I'm on Facebook, I never go there, blogger is much more personal when sharing.

Hi Shirley, Just saw your comment at Pat's, realized I'd not been over to visit for a bit. Glad to hop in and enjoy this beautiful watercolor work. I liked your comment about just 'going with the flow'. I'm not good with w/c, so I will take this advice to heart. I love the colors and free flow of this look. It DOES take lots of time to return comments (easy to just look, enjoy & not write a word!). I hope you will continue with your blog, when you can, because your work always inspires. Have a great day, and hope the snow is not too awful up your way. TFS & Hugs.

I don't know what happened, but thought I had responded to this amazing creation! I LOVE the colors, textures, and interesting flow of the pearly-white rivers flowing through this. Shirley, I feel like I'm in a Dream Catcher, watching the beautiful dreams of many people flow colorfully together, each running into the other's dreams, enhancing those dreams. How incredible! Wishing you a fantastic day! hugs, de

Great work Shirley and probably said many times it's colour palette I love. One here who doesn't do Facebook (a purely personal thing).

I love the attention to detail here, Shirley - you've created some luscious texture with your additional work!

I'm with Gerrina and Avril. I am on Facebook but find it so trivial especially the just clicking like plus the trying to find my way around. I would rather see the makes and the personnel piece of writing that goes with them. As long as they are not OTT. lol.

Fabulous creation as usual Shirley and sorry for not being around very much. But please keep blogging otherwise I won't get to see your beautiful artwork.

Warm crafty hugs from Shirl x x x

What a cool modern painting--should be framed! So glad you're still blogging--no matter how often as Facebook is not for me. I'm trying to decrease how much I write in my posts as I've seen some people doing--but that's hard for me--haha!
