Clean and Simple with Water Droplets

Happy Weekend !

I was blog hopping and noticed at Sylvia's Blog and then Florence's Blog that Addicted to CAS code word for the next two week's challenge is "Water".   I have so many beautiful Water Effects stamps by Designs by Ryn, I decided to get them out for a quick 'play'.

I enjoy the challenge of one-layer CAS cards and created this one with Water Droplets 2.      My 'regular style'  is not CAS and sometimes I spend hours to create a card so it's nice to design something that is fast.

But I was in a panic when suddenly my blog disappeared !   I wonder why that happens ?   I went through the security steps to get it back again.   Whew !

I masked off an area of a folded white card and blended Peacock Feathers, Squeezed Lemonade & Shaded Lilac Distress inks.   I left the mask in place and flicked some water over top to create water marks.   After removing the mask I stamped Design by Ryn's Waterdroplets 2 and Just Because (from a mini Basic Grey stamp set) with black Versafine ink.  I highlighted the drops with a white Gellyroll pen and I'm done !

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend,
Shirley

Hi Shirley. Beautiful! Love the torn edges for your masked area ... gorgeous sponged colors ... and fabulous droplets image. The glossy accents really adds shine and depth. Thanks for joining us at ATCAS. Loll :)

Love the way you've interpreted the challenge with both water droplet images & flicking water onto the blended Distress Inks. The crispness of your black stamping is delightful& it's so effective with some stamped off the meandering strip of colour - it literally looks like a stream of colour meandered across the card stock.

Hope you're enjoying your weekend Shirley :) This is proof that a card doesn't need to take a long time to be effective. This is beautiful! Like the jagged edge to the band of color.

So perfectly CAS! I hadn't thought of adding a bit of white gel pen to the top of the drops. I'll have to try that.
