Zentangle Peacocks

Hello everyone !

I have a couple more Peacock Designs using stamps by Chocolate Baroque.   I've used the large Peacock from the Tangled Peacock set for these.

The image on the above CAS design was stamped with black Stazon ink.   I spent some time colouring the fabulous image with my Prisma Pencils.     I added some outlining with a black Pigment pen and a little highlighting using a white Gelly Roll Pen.     The pink mat was created with Purple Dylusions.

This second card is a different colour combination and meant to be fun.

The background was created with purple Dylusions ink and the Peacock, which I embossed with black, was coloured with Tombow markers.  I added a little Doodling around the border.   The sentiment is from Birthday Words.

Update:  Yes I created the little 'flower' with feather 'eyes' from the main image that I stamped out again.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day,
Shirley

Love your cards! The first is real clean and yet so bright and the second is one that could go in a storybook just like it is; the colours are so beautiful and would fit perfect for a fairy tale... Warm hugs, Gerrina (It will be around the 32° today)

How different these two are in the different colour ways. I could imagine reversing the colours & layouts too. The softness of the pencil colouring in the first just makes it my favourite & your matting is delightfully striking with the aqua edge just pickibng up some elements of your feather colouring. The little floral creation using the peacock eyes is delightful in the second.

Hi, Shirley! I was so happy seeing your name pop up in my blog reader today. It means I will not only get my "Shirley fix" but my "color fix" as well! And I was not disappointed at all! Wow. The first peacock popped up and I thought - wow, she hit the colors perfectly without being traditional! But then the 2nd card popped up and I was amazed! Who would ever consider using oranges in a peacock! Shirley would, and her creation is truly inspiring, beautiful and GORGEOUS! Love the delicate fussy cutting and the texture from the heat embossing. Did you create the little "flower" in the corner from the tail pieces in a stamped peacock? Or was there already an image in the set like that? It sure is a pretty addition to the card, and pure delight with the jeweled center - stunning creations, Shirley! hugs, de

You are such a fantastic artist and your work is always impeccable, Shirley! Love your doodle border and your original flower design. YOU should be designing for Ryn (or someone else). Don't I say the same thing every time?! Sorry, but it's true!!

Ooh, Aah, Love these flamboyant peacocks! They are super gorgeous. Liked the different colorways on each one. Intrigued by your purple dylusions background too. It certainly showed up differently on each of the colorways. Nice touch on the feather eyes too. Great cards, both of them. TFS & inspiring.
